WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup, where individual hair strokes are tattooed onto your brows. Although it is considered a tattoo, the pigment WILL fade over time.

Combo Brows:A combination brow combines microblading strokes with machine shading. Like microblading, results typically last several years depending on your skin type.

Ombre Brows: Unlike microblading or a combination brow, a powder brow (also known as an ombre brow) has no hair strokes and is made up entirely of machine shading. It is ideal for all skin types.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING TAKE TO DO?

Microblading is split into 2 appointments, which are 6-8 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take about two hours and your enhancing touch up appointment takes from an hour.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE SHAPE?

We choose your custom shape and style together. At the beginning of your appointment we will discuss what you want your new brows to look like (pictures help as references) Then I will come up with a design shape specific to your wants & your bone structure. I will make measurements to make them as symmetrical & position them as much as possible.

WHO IS INELIGIBLE FOR MICROBLADING?

I do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you’re taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

This varies from person to person, everyone’s results last a different amount of time. A color refresh is recommended on average from 12-18 months after your initial procedure.

DOES MICROBLADING HURT?

I have a wide range of medical grade anesthetics which I used to make you as comfortable & pain free as possible. I use a topical anesthetic that is applied before the procedure & one during to continue the comfort.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A COLOR?

We choose a color together by applying small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. we choose a color that matches your natural brow hair. So remember if you tint your brows regularly you MUST tint them 2-3 days prior to your appointment. Also remember while choosing your color it will faded up to 50% after your first visit.

WHAT IS THE AFTER CARE/PRE CARE?

PRECARE:

  • BOTOX: If you regularly get Botox or Dysport, it must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. It takes at least that long to settle in the skin. Receiving it withing 14 days of your appointment will result in being sent home and asked to reschedule.

  • WAXING/THREADING: I recommend coming to your appointment with your brows grown out, no need to have them cleaned up before! If you need to clean them up beforehand, please do so at least 2 weeks before your appointment. If you tint your brows, please do so at least 7 days prior.

  • RETIN-A: Please refrain from using any retin-a products in the brow area for 2 weeks leading up to your appointment.

24 HOURS BEFORE:

  • To minimize bleeding during the procedure, please avoid any alcohol and excessive caffeine. Blood thinning medications such as Ibuprofen and Advil should also be avoided unless prescribed by a doctor.

AFTERCARE:

Cleanse morning and night for 10 days with the provided cleanser.

Apply a thin layer of aftercare balm to the brows 2-3x a day for 10 days.

No makeup can go on or around the brows for 14 days. You may wear makeup around the brows, but leave at least one inch around them at all times to prevent infection.

Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks. Please plan vacations and outings accordingly to avoid as much sun as possible.

Do not touch, pick, rub, or scratch the brows. Do not pick the scabs or flakes as they come off, this will remove the pigment and lead to patchiness and scarring.

No anti-aging or acne products on the brows ever (anything with Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc.)

HOW DO TOUCH UPS WORK?

After your first visit you might need a refreshing touch up. This service is offered any where from 6 to 12 weeks after your first visit.

WHAT TYPES OF PIGMENTS DO WE USE?

I use pigments which are made specifically for permanent cosmetics and microblading. I use a couple brands that I love which all have iron oxides, distilled water, alcohol, glycerin and general colors that are found in all retail makeup.

CAN I GET MICROBLADING OVER SCARS?

Yes, unless you have is a keloid scar this service is great for you. I do recommend if you have a scar just sending me a photo so I can look before you book an appointment.
